- 1). Insert the floppy disk into the floppy disk drive of your Windows 3.1 computer.
- 2). Open the "Program Manager" and double-click the floppy "A:" drive icon. This opens a window with all of the files currently stored on the drive.
- 3). Locate the files you want to copy from Windows. These files can be located anywhere on the computer, ranging from the desktop to a self created folder. Click-and-drag the files you just located into the open "A:" drive window. A progress bar appears showing you how long the process is going to take.
- 4). Close out the floppy drive window and eject the disk from the computer. Repeat the process with any other files and floppy disks you want to back up.
