- 1). Download and save the Vista "Start" menu from a website like Vista Start Menu, Softpedia or Brothersoft (see Resources.)
- 2). Locate the file in the folder you chose to save it to, click twice on the icon to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen installation instructions. This is a small installation file that takes only a few minutes to install.
- 3). Open the "Start" menu and notice the different look. Click "Options" to customize the menu and follow the Wizard directions. Click "Finish" and restart your computer.
- 4). Go to the new Vista "Start" menu and right-click beside the "Power Control" button. Choose the "Shutdown menu" option. Check mark the shutdown options you want to display.
- 5). Select "Restart," "Log off" or any other Vista shutdown menu options you want.
