Cruising- I Recommend It
I went on my first cruise two years ago with a friend and, I have to say, I was not really sure what to expect.
The cruise ship was not one of those where you have to dress up for a formal dinner but one with a more casual attitude to vacations.
We set sail from Palma, Mallorca, which is in it's self a beautiful city and was a lovely place to commence our holiday.
The ship was stunning.
We were quite shocked at how lavish it was and how elegant our room was.
It was like being in a top class hotel.
The facilities seemed never-ending from bars, cafes, restaurants, theatre, cinema, spa, pools and much more.
Everywhere was clean to the point of shining and all services came with a smile.
Each day there was a full itinerary of shows, exhibitions, games and activities.
One of our favourite was the afternoon quiz (even though we never won) Twenty four hour dining will be a hit with most people especially when the food quality was as good as we found on our ship.
There was also a bookable restaurant if you wanted to splash out but we never felt the need.
We had one full day of cruising without a stop and it was great.
We rushed from one activity to the next.
The rest of the week involved stops around the Mediterranean.
My favourite stop was at Pisa, It was a beautiful place full of ornate buildings and character.
I also love Monaco, very lovely and just a little Posh - you certainly need lots of money to live there.
The whole week was packed and struggled to fit everything in.
I enjoyed so much that I went again the following year on a different route around the med and loved it just the same.
I would certainly recommend cruising as a holiday choice.
