North Cyprus is Becoming a Popular Spot for Weddings Abroad
North Cyprus boasts beautiful sites and gorgeous sceneries for breathtakingly beautiful ceremonies against awe-inspiring backgrounds with added all-year-round sunshine, all of which make it a fantastic destination for romantic weddings abroad.
The Mediterranean island has many advantages, aside from the glorious weather and the sparkling beaches. One of the great advantages of getting married abroad in the Mediterranean instead of a more exotic tropical location like the Caribbean is its convenient location close to home, which is just outside the Eurozone but not too far to travel from the United Kingdom.

The hotel is the only one in the region to be awarded the "special class" status by the tourism ministry in Cyprus. The property has 17 twin-level cottages, a stylish gourmet restaurant, and tropical gardens that provide an idyllic setting for intimate island weddings.

On the other hand, the Kaya Artemis Resort Hotel in Bafra in North Cyprus, offers a wide selection of facilities including a luxurious spa, tennis courts, a casino, and a scuba diving school. Built as a full scale replica of the historic Artemis Temple, the resort offers a unique setting for nuptials as well as plenty of activities to enjoy during luxury honeymoons in Cyprus.
Another great contender offering deluxe wedding packages in Cyprus is the five-star Palm Beach Hotel, which reopens in 2012 and offers ocean-view suites, a private sandy beach and a location close to the historic walled city of Famagusta.
Couples can combine their weddings abroad in North Cyprus with a trip to Istanbul in Turkey allowing them to extend the celebrations or enjoy a honeymoon in the equally fascinating nearby country.

A survey by Mintel last year revealed that one in five couples are choosing a wedding abroad over a traditional ceremony in the UK.
