Thinking Your Weight Down by Thinking First - Part 1
When you consider your personal pattern for accomplishing anything, what comes to mind? Are you one who can just think about weight loss and it happens? If you are like so many others, you probably just had a chuckle at the last suggestion.
Most of us have reached a point in our lives where we have either decided to stop trying to lose weight, thus we have resigned ourselves to continue putting on those unwanted pounds, until we reach some personal limit we believe has, "Gone too far" or, we battle endlessly to lose those extra pounds and keep them off.
What if you could believe your weight down, that would be only too cool, right? Well, weight loss is like anything else in our lives, it is based on our beliefs.
The default pattern in which you deal with anything is the pattern in which you deal with everything, everything that is, that you do not consciously take charge of the thought behind it and apply a change to your typical pattern of living! What are those thoughts that hang in the back of your mind, when you look at your housekeeping, bookkeeping, weight gain, organizational skills, recreation time? When you think about going for a walk, does the first thought that flashes through your mind, go something like this, "Yah right, like I can take time out to go for a walk?" If it is, stop for a moment, think about it, you found time to be reading this! You see what I am saying, we find time for those things which we believe are of greatest importance to us.
Your health is of utmost importance to your well being! Your mind thinks more clearly after a good exercise, a walk, a relaxed breathing session, a run, a meditation or prayer time, all of these exercises will afford you a more profitable use of the hours you have been allotted in each day.
Does the pattern you use by default, look something like this, wake up late, jump into the necessary activities of the day, rush through many things, skip those you can procrastinate about, accomplish only a portion of what you had intended for the hours you invested, drop onto the couch, or into bed run over the unfinished items on your to do list, chastise yourself for one or more things you should have accomplished? Well, know this, if that is the pattern you are accustomed to living by, that will be the pattern you continue to live by, unless you take charge of your thought processes and change everything.
You must be aware of how the thoughts you entertain will affect you, negative thinking produces more of the same, just as positive thinking produces more of its own like kind.
You get to sit in judgement of how you will view and retain consciously or subconsciously, all of the thoughts that come your way on a daily routine.
Slow down, listen to your heart, feel the way your thinking is leading your life, consider if it needs to be reformed.
Should you discover that you need to make certain changes in order for you to live a happy and productive life, spend time focusing on which changes will bring about your desired outcome.
Put those changes into action, watch your daily life become the life of your dreams.
