8 Reasons Why the Proven System Sucks

Did that big shot speaking at the network marketing meeting tell you to "follow the proven system"? Then go on to tell you to make a "warm list" (list of personal contacts), buy company promotional material, buy extra product to "place" with prospects, hold home parties, attend and bring prospects to hotel meetings, get business cards, and make flyers to hand out at the mall.
If these are the components of the "proven system", or business plan, it is a broken down, oil leaking, rusty system made up of outdated methods and faulty techniques that have caused the terrible numbers of a 97% failure rate in this industry.
What is even worse is, aside from being ineffective; it can actually kill your chances of success and ruin your personal relationships.
Besides causing lots of people to despise the whole industry, the "proven system" will definitely cause you to run most of your friends away.
Considering that it is an inherently good and morally correct business, it is a shame about the reputation because it is a great concept of selling direct and cutting out the middle men.
Helping others find success is the only way to make any real money and those who help the most people are the real leaders.
These 8 reasons are referring to the methods taught by most of the MLM companies out there and they do work but only for a small percentage of people.
1.
Most companies lie to their prospects about the fact that network marketing is SALES.
2.
There is no proper marketing training given to any of the new distributors and in fact the methods taught are mostly ineffective.
3.
The most common sales methods taught are annoying "door to door", street corner, or telemarketing type tactics that are a lot like banging your prospects over the head with your business opportunity.
4.
The much used line about how anyone can do this business is a lot like throwing mud against a wall to see what will stick and causes people to chase after nonprospect's which is a waste of time and causes the negative reputation most people have about the industry.
5.
Since the sales methods don't work for everyone, desperate people will resort to hype and exaggeration to trick prospects into signing up.
6.
When new prospects report to their sponsors that they are not finding success and are told they need more motivation or a bigger "why" they get frustrated because that means they will have to do more of what is not working instead of learning real marketing techniques on how to generate MLM leads.
7.
Prospects are led to believe it will be easy to build their business and are guaranteed of success on the strength of an unbeatable product and an awesome compensation plan.
8.
New prospects are told to offer everyone they know or meet their opportunity and that causes them to pester everyone within three feet of them and this has caused many people to hate the whole industry.
Nobody with experience in marketing would ever try to sell to someone who has no interest, much less, chase after those who already hate the industry.
The key to success in this business is to use a marketing plan or system that allows customers or interested opportunity seekers to find you not the other way around.
Just imagine the difference in your efforts if you had an unlimited list of interested prospects instead of chasing after and trying to convince an uninterested and limited personal contact list.
If you chase after your prospects you are actually a pest.
Most folks hate to be sold to because they feel as though something is being forced on them.
If you position yourself where they find you with a search you will be thought of as an expert or authority in the business.
Recruiting with those old school methods are cumbersome and when you tell your sponsor it isn't working like you thought and they say you need to listen to some motivational CD's they are really telling you to just do more of what isn't working.
Do you really think that will help? Wouldn't it be more logical to get training that helps you to set up a system that generates MLM leads on autopilot consistently so you could spend your time working with interested prospects and not having to deal with constant rejection?
