List Building With AdWords - How I Get a Lead Flow of 20-30 Subscribers Daily Using AdWords
Not earth shattering by any means, but a decent number.
The only reason why I don't scale it up is because getting a lead from AdWords in a competitive market tends to be rather expensive, even if you are using the content network.
AdWords is pretty expensive for list building.
In an ideal scenario, I would advise building a list using preferably free methods first to determine your revenue per lead over 6 months or a year so you can determine how much you can afford to pay per lead.
That is the ideal scenario.
But if you're game to get started right away with AdWords, here is what I do: 1.
I do a little research on Google by searching for some keywords in my market.
After a while, I will be able to find the same sites advertising across various market-themed keywords.
2.
I plug in these sites' URL into Spyfu to see which keywords they are targeting on AdWords.
Do note that Spyfu is a little behind by a few months but it's still valuable market information.
3.
Download the spreadsheet and use Speed PPC to separate each keyword into their own ad group.
This is to ensure the most targeted campaign possible.
Ensure your ad copy contains the seed keyword for each ad group to maximize your Quality Score.
4.
Use the Google AdWords Editor to upload your campaigns into your account.
This will take only a few minutes.
5.
Launch your campaign and track everything from click through rates, opt-in rates and ad group performance.
Start by bidding strongly to get the high click through rates, to ensure lower click costs later on.
Eliminate keywords that perform poorly, add in new keywords that you can think of.
