National parks of India - Pride of the nation
India is fully fledged with all kinds of animals and birds. Thus, it has the amazing combinations of wilderness and calmed beauty of nature. Some of these predators can be watched in zoo but seeing them in close quarters is the fantastic experience. Predators wander freely inside the national parks and are watched frequently. India is world famous for its wildlife sanctuaries. Ranthambore national park is also one of the very famous and biggest national parks of North India. The national park is situated in Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan. It is one of the tiger reserves of India and majority of the predators can be seen roaming freely. Ranthambore National Park is popular for Diurnal Tigers. Apart from tigers Ranthambore National Park consist of several species of herbivores, carnivores, amphibians, reptiles and mammals. Vegetation found here is mostly dry deciduous type and consist nearly 300 species of trees.
Moving on to the national park tour, Kaziranga National park is one of the primmest national parks of the world situated partly in Golaghat district and partly on Nagaon district of Assam. The national park is the tiger reserve but Rhinoceroses are the main attraction. Nearly two- third of the world population of the great one horned Rhinoceros are found in Kaziranga National Park. The national park is the home for many wild predators. It provides shelter to numerous species of birds including vultures. Hence, the national park is also recognized as the bird's area. Many exotic species of migratory birds, water birds, scavengers and game birds are seen here. Kaziranga National Park has huge swathes of tall evergreen grasses, marshland and dense moist broadleaf forests. Park has the mixture of four types of vegetations which makes Kaziranga unique and full of life.
The outstanding national park and wildlife reserve of India includes the renowned Kanha National Park. It covers the area nearly 940 sq.kms and is situated in Mandla and Balghat district of Madhya Pradesh. Kanha National park is the famous tiger reserves and is largest national park of central India. It has fascinating combination of wild and natural beauty. Exotic species of various flora and fauna explore the national park. Climbers, shrubs and herbs flourish here in abundance. The majestic Royal Bengal Tiger is the main attraction of Kanha National park. The big cat tigers and leopards are seen frequently. Apart from these carnivores; herbivores and amphibians are also seen.
India's first national park established in 1936 is the Jim Corbett National Park. It covers an area of 920 sq. km located on the foothills of Himalayas near Nainital and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. The national park is one f the tiger reserves of India. Jim Corbett National Park is the protected area for Royal Bengal tigers. The National Park is the home for various innumerable species of flora and fauna. The vegetation mostly consist of moist deciduous forests and covers about 73 percent of the land. Varied species of birds, animals, mammals, reptiles and amphibians are seen in Corbett National park.
