How to Use Concealer to Cover Dark Circles Under the Eyes

    • 1). PICK THE RIGHT SHADE. The best concealer is one that is a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone. Ask a nice makeup person to help you at Sephora.

    • 2). Concealers come in a LIQUID FORM OR A STICK. I was told that a liquid concealer is better for normal to dry skin and a stick is better for oily skin. However I never noticed a difference. I find the LIQUID kind easier to apply because it goes on more smoothly.

    • 3). When applying concealer, USE YOUR RING FINGER, not your pointer or index finger. The area under the eyes is delicate and your index finger will use too much force. You can be more gentle to the under eye area with your ring finger.

Apply concealer to the bottom of the dark circle

DAB THE CONCEALER ONTO THE BOTTOM of the undereye circle. Believe it or not, you don't need to cover the whole circle, just the very bottom crescent of it.

    • 5). The tricky part is BLENDING the concealer onto your face. Leave the bulk of the concealer alone, for the most part, and focus on blending the edges. Blend them out so the layer of makeup becomes thinner and eventually barely covers the skin. However you don't want to wipe off the concealer that is covering your dark circle because then you will be back where you started! So leave that alone and touch it just a little so that it doesn't look so shiny or if it's a little too thick.

    • 6). LIGHTLY POWDER over your little masterpiece.
