Music can set the spooky mood for your Halloween dance. But, you'll need more on your scary playlist than just Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Bobby Pickett's old school "Monster Mash." These Halloween songs are the ones you haven't thought of... and they'll keep the party going and your friends dancing all night long... all while giving off that eerie, creepy vibe that you can only get away with on October 31.

1. "E.T." by Katy Perry featuring Kanye West

"You're so hypnotizing/Could you be the devil?/Could you be an angel?" I mean, what's scarier than a strange extra terrestrial creature visiting you and poking you in the night? A song about aliens definitely belongs on your Halloween playlist.

2. "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga

"I want your psycho/Your vertigo shtick/Want you in my rear window/Baby you're sick" The way Gaga says "Ra ra ra-ah ah!" sounds like a scary monster chant. Also, really bad romances can be scarier than a haunted house. Definitely Halloween party material.

3. "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance

"He said, 'Son when you grow up,/would you be the saviour of the broken, /the beaten and the damned?'" This song starts off with a singular piano and ends in a giant mosh-pit-worthy chorus of wailing lyrics, pounding drums and epic guitars. In short, it will make everyone want to jump up and down.

4. "Die Young" by Kesha

"Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young." Tribal drums, Kesha's signature chant and the constant mention of a death before your time make this a Halloween playlist choice.

5. "Toxic" by Britney Spears

"With a taste of a poison paradise/I’m addicted to you/Don’t you know that you’re toxic." A song about a toxic love that kills definitely belongs at your Halloween dance.

6. "Black Widow" by Iggy Azalea featuring Rita Ora

"This is the web, web that you weave/So baby now rest in peace (It's all over with now)." A treacherous web of hateful love is the crux of this song. The trap beat makes for a pretty creepy

7. "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC

"Goin' down/Party time/My friends are gonna be there too/I'm on the highway to hell." Screaming electric guitars, a dance-y beat, and a chorus you and your friends can shout along to. Of course, the constant mention of hell, seemingly the scariest place ever, makes it a natural choice for your Halloween playlist.

8. "Men in Black" by Will Smith

"Here come the Men in Black/They won't let you remember." Theme song to the movie of the same name, this Will Smith is a perfect addition to your Halloween dance. It's got a great dance beat and the lyrics are just a little bit scary.

9. "Addams Groove" by MC Hammer

"They do what they wanna do/Say what they wanna say/Live how they wanna live/Play how they wanna play." An ode to the strangest family to ever grace TV and movie screens, this early 90s hip hop groove by MC Hammer is Halloween dance worthy and nostalgic.

10. "Like a Prayer" by Madonna

"I hear your voice, it's like an angel sighing/I have no choice, I hear your voice/Feels like flying." Something about this song is just creepy. The chorus of "Ooos," the constant mention of midnight, the voice that Madonna keeps saying she hears... is she taking about a higher power, or something sinister?
