How to Repair the Startup in Vista

    • 1). Place the Vista setup disc in the computer and restart to boot from the DVD.

    • 2). Choose your preferred language, time and currency and keyboard format from the "Install Windows Vista" screen. Click "Next."

    • 3). Click "Repair your computer" on the second screen. Do not click "Install Now," the repair option is a text link in the bottom left corner of the second "Install Windows Vista" screen.

    • 4). Select your Windows Vista partition, it will be automatically detected. Click "Next." Startup Repair will begin checking for errors in starting Vista. Any errors will be automatically corrected. Once the errors have been detected and repaired, click "Finish" to restart the computer and launch into Vista.
