    Wildflowers

    • Round up backyard blooms or pick some in a neighboring field to use as a simple decoration for a Western centerpiece. Get creative with the container; anything rustic works for this type of centerpiece. Consider using a metal pail, a rusted toolbox or old crockery. Rummage through a local antique store or flea market for old teapots or water pitchers to use as a vase. Make sure you put enough water and flower food in each container to help keep flowers fresh. Tie a few strands of raffia or checked ribbon around the container to complete the look.

    Cowboy Centerpiece

    • Cowboy apparel can work to your advantage for both dressing the wedding party and decorating the reception tables. Take a cowboy boot, new or old, and stuff it with a piece of flower foam. Put a flower arrangement in the opening of the boot, securing the stems into the foams, and set it in the center of the table. Additionally, bandannas, cowboy hats, silver badges or Western-styled jewelry can accent any Western centerpiece. Tie a bandanna around a vase full of flowers, or turn a cowboy hat upside down and fill it with an interesting flower arrangement to complement your country Western wedding.

    Farm Gear Centerpiece

    • Put old farm gear into use to make an extraordinary centerpiece. A small wagon wheel, barn lantern or hay bale can serve as the main piece in a Western centerpiece composition. Place a miniature hale bale on the table and lean a wagon wheel next to the bale. Cover the wheel in color coordinating wildflowers. If hay does not work for you, try a barn lantern works to light up a late afternoon or evening wedding reception. Place a candle inside and light to give each table a soft glow. Tie a simple satin ribbon around the handle of each lantern to lend femininity and charm to your simple piece.

    Horse Gear Centerpiece

    • Tie a few horseshoes together with a strip of ribbon lace, weave flowers around a silver or brass accented bridle, or get your hands on some small Western-styled saddles to use as decorations for your centerpieces. A coiled lariat rope accented with a few rosebuds or other flowers can make an easy but attractive centerpiece. Even a collection of bits, stirrup irons or crops can make an unusual and eye-catching statement in the center of a table. Mix and match horse gear with cowboy apparel or with farm gear to make a perfect Western centerpiece.
