Raising orchids has now become a favorite past time, because of the fantastic blooms that one can enjoy from the different varieties of orchids.
They are quite easy to take care of and can survive even with minimum care.
However, the most essential care such as the right amount of sunlight, nutrition and water should be practiced to enjoy your blooms all throughout the year.

There are some species that do not require a lot of water, while others can not survive without a good amount of watering done more frequently.

You can ask information from the store where you bought your orchid plant, or do some research online.
Generally, orchid plants are found in their natural habitat where the air is often at a high humidity level of 80%.
This humidity level can make it difficult for your plant to survive.
One of the things you can do to provide the water orchids require is to provide them with a ready supply of water.
You can try putting some pebbles inside a vase or a deep saucer.
Water the pebbles and then put your orchid pot on top of them.
