Be Willing to Laugh at Yourself on Your Way to Be Rich
I continued my walk thereafter and felt very light after laughing at myself for being so 'magnanimous' in returning the major portion of the sweet. In a flash I realised that laughing at oneself really helps in managing one's positive attitude and action. Interestingly laughing at others may hurt them but laughing at oneself is harmless. Of course, no need for condemning oneself but this gentle approach really helps the person in becoming happy and rich.
Let us spend a few moments in trying to understand the correlation between happiness and becoming rich. Here are a few thoughts on this subject:
- It is obvious that when you are happy, you are not desperate. My Spiritual and Life Mentor often states, "When you are desperate, your success may not be denied but delayed." So by being happy, one can avoid desperation and this helps the person in the road to success and a rich life.
- When a person is able to laugh at himself, the impact of stress on the person is much less. Happiness becomes an automatic and effective stress management technique for such people. Their physical and mental energy levels increase along with their productivity.
- Happiness and laughter produce endorphins in the body of the person. Endorphin is a natural and wonder drug produced by our body. This also improves our immune system.
- When you are happy, you are able to put in the necessary efforts without feeling the strain. In any aspect of life, when you enjoy and carry on for a long time, the results follow your consistency.
- In these days of hectic life, many people enjoy the company of people who are jovial and friendly and hence people who are light-hearted enough to laugh at themselves are able to attract many people to them without too much of efforts. They are able to effortlessly use their light-heartedness as leverage to becoming successful and rich.
Of course, those who cannot laugh at themselves need stimulated laughter. They can either join laughter clubs or watch movies or plays with high humour content. It seems a man asked a doctor over phone," My son just swallowed my pen, what should I do Doctor?" The doctor replied, "I will reach your place fast and till then you can use your pencil."
Jokes apart, I am convinced that when you develop the habit of laughing at yourself once in a while, you become a rich person truly. We at Happy Mentor call it 'True Rich'. If you have your inputs on laughing your way to be Rich, please share the same.
