The Waiting Band by Tiny Baubles is a ring designed to be worn during pregnancy and into the postpartum period. It's designed to withstand the swelling fingers and fears of having your wedding ring cut off. It expands by not being a complete ring.
Unlike the expandable rings that you got out of a candy machine as a kid that snapped in half, the Waiting Band is made with a really thick band of silver making it malleable and yet sturdy.
It took me awhile to get used to the opening in the palm side, but once I did it was fine. I'm a ring twirler so that was what caught my attention more.
The band can be worn in place of your wedding ring or as a ring on any finger. It's a sweet sentiment and has engravings on the inside of the band. You can choose from:

The Waiting Band makes a nice present for a baby shower or even as a pregnancy announcement is made. I can see it being work just everyday as a reminder of your love, pregnancy or other thought - depending on who gave you the ring or if you bought it for yourself. At about $100 it's not an inexpensive present, but it is well designed to last a life time and not just nine months. It might be just what you're looking for when your fingers start to swell and you're missing your wedding ring.
