Can Dieting Make You Fat?

Anybody who has ever been on a diet has been on more than one, right? I guess that answers the question.
It seems to be a vicious circle for most people, but it really doesn't have to be that way.
Chronic inflammation causes weight gain, and weight gain causes chronic inflammation.
Whaaat? It's true, if you are overweight you have inflammation in your body.
Also if you have inflammation in your body it is much more difficult to lose weight.
So the first thing you have to do is to get rid of any inflammation you might have.
In order to get rid of it, you have to know what causes it in the first place.
One of the main causes is an imbalance of omega 3 to omega 6 in your diet.
Omega 3s are the good guys.
You will get them from eating fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines.
If you don't like fish you'll have to take an omega 3 supplement.
Even if you are a fish lover you won't get adequate amounts from fish alone.
You need to supplement too.
You can also get omega 3s in walnuts and flax seeds.
These are easy to incorporate into your diet.
A small handful of walnuts makes an afternoon snack that's good for you.
Flax seed meal is good mixed in a smoothie, or almost anything really.
I mix it in my oatmeal in the morning to make that even more healthy.
Another thing you must do to avoid inflammation is get some exercise everyday.
It doesn't have to be much, even 15 minutes of walking a day will help to reduce inflammation and make you feel good and be healthier.
What you have to avoid-the omega 6s is unfortunately what most people are eating.
It's the breads, pastas, cookies, and all types of junk foods.
Also, you can not eat margarine, corn oil and soy oil and not expect to have inflammation somewhere in your body.
Omega 6s promote inflammation, and make it difficult if not impossible to lose weight or keep it off.
