Approx 5" tall. - ^5 Laguna "Hawaiian 3" Clay, ^6 Coyote "Mottled Blue" glaze. Electric kiln fired.

Potter's Statement: This was my first attempt at underglaze work. It was fun hand painting on pottery. I was attempting to create the scene of turtles swimming in the Hawaiian blue waters. I was please with the results.

Beth's Comments: This is a lovely little pot.

The underglazed lines are, for the most part, crisp and have a nice flow. The little bit of blurring from glaze movement adds to the piece, in my opinion. It gives just a bit more feeling of looking down through water at these delightful creatures swimming below the surface.

I think your glaze choice, for that same reason, was excellent, Cindy. It is both clear enough for the underglaze to be seen, but adds to a feeling of visual depth that a clear glaze wouldn't have been able to.
