Imagery - Basic Steps To Create Your Own Imagery For Healing

103 24
1.
Clarify what it is you want to focus on.
Do you have a physical symptom, an emotional turmoil, a relationship issue? What is it you want to explore or change? 2.
Close your eyes, while sitting with your feet flat on the floor, your arms either on the arms of your chair or in your lap palms down.
Beginning with a full breathe out through your mouth exhale fully (as if you are blowing out candles on a cake).
Then inhale regularly y through your nose.
Do this breath a total of three times.
3.
As you are breathing think to yourself what your intension is (what you have chosen to focus on) For example: To remove the pain in my leg, or to discover what I need to do to relieve my sadness.
Use the words that fit for you.
4.
Give a picture to whatever your are focusing on.
Ask yourself what the pain looks like, what the feeling, situation etc.
would look like.
Concentrate on what you, hear, sense, know and see.
Notice all the details of the image.
5.
Then ask yourself what you need to do or have for this image to shift, heal or be different.
Or what is the opposite of this image for you.
Remember that this is your imagination, pigs can fly and rocks can talk.
You have resources available to you simply by imaging them.
6.
Ask your self if there is anything else you need to complete this shift or healing.
Allow the images and responses to take place in your imagination.
7.
When you sense and know that this is completed, breathe out one time through your mouth and open your eyes knowing your intention is fulfilled.
These steps should take no more then five minutes.
The idea is to move quickly form the old pattern to the new.
You may repeat this process daily for 3,7 or 21 days depending on intense the issue is, how long it has been occurring or chow complete the image felt.
If this process is too difficult to create on your own then you can seek additional professional guidance or work with structured imagery exercises that have been created for the issue you are working on.
