How to Add an OEM Logo Into a Bootable Windows XP Disc

    • 1). Right-click on the desktop and select "New Folder." Name this "XPImage."

    • 2). Copy your desired logo file into the XPImage directory. Right click the file, select "Rename," and name the file OEMLOGO.BMP.

    • 3). Insert the XP CD into the computer. Open the "My Computer" menu. Click "Tools," open "Folder Options," click on the "View" tab, check the box to "Show Hidden Files," and uncheck the box to "Hide Protected Files."

    • 4). Copy all files on the XP CD to the XPImage directory.

    • 5). Open your boot image extractor program. Select the drive containing your XP CD, and copy the boot image that appears to your XPImage directory.

    • 6). Insert a blank CD. Open your CD burning program and select the option for a "Bootable CD." Select the file extracted in step five as the boot file and burn all files in the XPImage directory to CD.
