2008 Memorials to Special Cats: Puditat

Puditat was a purebred Siamese girl that we bought from a very bad backyard breeder when she was 9 weeks of age. She had been kept in a cage for her first 9 weeks, and was very fearful of sounds, people and almost everything in life. She never got over her fears completely, but she was a loving and much loved member of our family.
She became Katie's best friend, and even nursed on Katie until the day she died when she was 14 and we had to have her put to sleep due to complications from a 3 year battle with diabetes.

She used to come into the room and sit in front of us and say "OW" about half an hour before it was time for her insulin shot, and then she sat and stared at us until we got up to give her the injection. She walked beside us and jumped on the counter and then hunched down and waited for me to prepare and administer her injection and then she got hugs and luvvies from both of us before she jumped down and went back to be by Katie's side.

She was a very sweet natured cat, and along with Katie-Kat, she welcomed and loved our other kitties and helped Katie-Kat teach them all to be loving. Katie-Kat left us 2 years minus one day after Puditat. We know they're together again as devoted best friends.
