The small breed dogs like miniatures are very cute and lovely to look at.
At the same time they are also so small that it is a daunting task to housetrain them.
The small breed dogs are so very small in size that they mostly go unnoticed with their body movements and body positioning.
The bladders of these puppies are so small that they urinate at a surprisingly high rate of frequency.
The quantity of urine is so small that the owner often is caught unawares that the dog has relieved itself.
This small quantity of urine often leaves marks on the rugs, on the furniture indicating the puppy that it is the bathroom area.
Another concern regarding he small puppies is that they can just sneak behind just anything in the house.
We bring you some tips for housetraining the small breed dogs 1.
You can use crate training.
The crate proves to be like a den or a kennel for the puppy.
As soon as the puppy is done eating, place it in the crate and after 15-20 minutes take the puppy out to designated toilet area.
Let the puppy have its time to use the bathroom, shower little praise as well.
In case the puppy doesn't urinate, get them back to the crate and repeat this process every five minutes.

Sniffing around, circling, and pacing are some signs of the puppies which indicate that they want to use bathroom.
Getting behind or under the furniture is a very probable sign of this.

Do not play with the puppy when they are in the bathroom area or while the puppy is in a potty break.
This will confuse them as what they are supposed to do in that area.
Also, praise a lot if the puppy uses the designated area.

Just tie the puppy with a small rope, which will help you monitor the movements of the puppy very frequently.
Watch the signs of the puppy for going out or to use the bathroom.

Generally, puppies tend to go to bathroom 15-20 minutes after they have had their food.
So set a schedule for feeding.
But remember, every dog is different.

Do not feed puppy with human food and also do not change the puppy food too.
This increases the risk of diarrhea.
This increases the chances of disrupting the house training schedule.

Punishing the puppy increases the anxiety and sneaky attitude.
Make sure that you clean the dirty area with cleaner with enzyme.
This will remove the odor caused.
You increase the chances of puppy using the same area again if you are using bleach for cleaning.
Avoid it.
8.
When you get the puppy home, make sure there sis someone attending to the puppy.
At least for initial few weeks.
Do not immediately leave the puppy alone in the house for longer periods.
Remember, house training the puppies is very easy.
It gets difficult only when you fail to give attention to the puppy.
Remember, not getting house trained is not the fault of the puppy alone.
