There's another review posted on this site which severly disparages the Caronia's ambience and service. I suggest you ignore this fellow's griping, which is similarly displayed on many sites. Caronia is a wonderful, disappearing experience in all facets. Yes, the ship is more sedate than many Americans seem to prefer, but there's plenty to do and the cuisine is the very best afloat.
This particular trip was marked by two violent storms, which the ship and crew handled very well indeed. I suspect that anyone who can find fault with the Caronia simply wants an American-style mega ship, not this gem from the past.
