The Bottom Line

Not only can this guy write #1 hits, he plays a mean guitar and has an incredible voice as well. He really shows his talent off on this album. Jeff s southern rock style comes right from his soul. "Outlaw" shows the wide variety of music he creates. I'm really enjoying this album. It's a keeper.

Guide Review - Jeffrey Steele - Outlaw

I've followed Jeffrey's career before Boy Howdy made it's way into the Nashville scene. Friends and I Use to listen to him way back in 1991 when he played honky-tonks in our area. He was awesome then and he's even better now. With all the country hits to his name like "The Cowboy in Me," "Unbelievable," "These Days," "Chrome," "Big Deal," as well as "Speed," "Hell Yeah" and "My Town." He has to be proud.

Jeff's found his song "Outlaw" was being played as a theme song for a radio station. The next thing he knew, it was showing up on the Billboard charts. Great songs like the first track "Countrified," Talks about leaving the big city and getting to the fresh air where the eagle flies. This may be my favorite on the album, but it's hard to choose, because I like so many of them. "Twenty Years Ago" is about when he was a kid, one of five children and his relationship with his father.

The other song that touched me was "I Can't Stop You." A song he wrote for his daughter going off to college.

The most important thing Steele has learned is that you need to have that drive, and the instinct to keep writing through all the rejection and all the hardships he's had to get where he is now. Jeffrey is a very successful, in high demand, can't write 'em fast enough Songwriter now. And in the past 3 years has written over 200 songs that have been recorded by some of Nashville's biggest and hottest stars. Now tell me that isn't SUCCESS!!!!! Go get em' Jeff, I knew you'd do it!!!!!!
