1.
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight is without question the greatest superhero movie of all time, I don't think there really is a close second.
You have to see it to believe it.
2.
Iron Man
I put Iron Man at number two because it is such a slick and fun superhero movie, almost the complete opposite of The Dark Knight, but still thoroughly enjoyable.
It couldn't have been cast better than Robert Downey Jr.
3.
Spider-Man 2
Doc Oc, the tension and the great dialog is what takes this movie to number three.
It's great when a sequel can out-do the original, even when the original was terrific.
It's like it took all the great things from the original and amplified them.
4.
Batman Begins
The start of the new era of Batman, lead by Christopher Nolan.
If Nolan ever steps away from the Batman movies, the project will have to come to an end.
5.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
I love Hellboy because he is such a different kind of superhero and the sarcastic banter is a fun change from the standard.
The film also has a great story where the end does not disappoint.
6.
Spider-Man
Although Spider-Man 2 beat out the first, Spider-Man was a great start to the series.
Tobey Maguire is the perfect Peter Parker and who could have played M.
J.
better than Kirsten Dunst.
7.
Constantine
Such an under-rated film.
The critics slashed it up a bit, but among viewers it is well respected.
I love the feel of this movie and think it is a great story with some very amazing special effects.
8.
Unbreakable
My favorite M.
Night Shyamalan film.
Shyamalan is such a hard worker at creating mood and not necessarily special effects.
The depth and feel of this film is thick and needs to be watched carefully to be fully enjoyed.
9.
Batman
I remember when everyone was waiting for this to come out, you saw the Batman symbol everywhere.
It turned out to be a big hit and a movie that really got the superhero genre rolling.
10.
Watchmen
The graphic novel was amazing and a classic, Watchmen the movie was just a good adaption of the book, not a great one.
But it was fun seeing the book finally coming to the big screen.
