How to Minimize Wrinkled Lines on the Face
- 1). Apply moisturizer to your skin every morning and night. Use different moisturizers for different times of the day. Night-time moisturizers should be thicker and more emolient. Day-time moisturizers should be lighter, easier to wear under makeup and contain a minimum SPF 15. Moisturized skin appears more supple and less wrinkled.
- 2). Wash your face once or twice per day using a gentle cleanser. Avoid harsh cleansers suited for acne-prone skin. Cleansing the face too often strips it of natural oils that keep it looking youthful.
- 3). Smooth a pea-sized amount of prescription retinoid cream on your face two to three times per week. Retinoids contain of a large amount of vitamin A, which can actually reduce the wrinkled lines on your face. Use it for three to six months to see improvement.
- 4). Get dermal fillers injected into wrinkles. Fillers often contain ingredients such as collagen and hyaluronic acid. Doctors inject the substance into the lines and it fills them up.
