That's the price of inflation or is it perhaps just optimism on the part of the seller.
Certainly, I would love to have a list of a million subscribers but by doing it this way it is not going to happen. What a lot of beginners to the internet do not realise is that all these email addresses have been harvested using software and capture robots on the internet. This is how these huge lists are created. They are then offered out to anybody willing to buy them for whatever reason, dubious or otherwise.
Now, here are the legalities of it all. If you purchase a list such as this, even at a bargain knock down price, not only will it turn out to be a complete waste of money, you also risk being accused of spamming. This can of course cause you all sorts of problems with all sorts of authorities. You would be well advised to build your list in an honest and legal way, certainly use the double opt in system used by the auto-responder services. It will cause you far less worry.
Some businesses though, continue to bombard the net with spam email, have you had any offers from certain pharmaceutical companies offering those life saving tablets,Viagra. I'd be scared to take one in case it got stuck in my throat and gave me a stiff neck for a few hours. But seriously, they can cause you more grief than they are worth. Stay away from them and treat them like the plague.
