  The Chevrolet Blazer started back in 1969 as a full-sized SUV and continued that way until 1983. In 1983 Chevrolet began offering a smaller mid-sized version of the Blazer, known as the S-10 Blazer, since it shared a frame and some body components with the S-10 pickup. In 1991, just as years prior, Chevrolet produced two Blazers: full-sized and S-10. 1994 marked the final year of the full-sized Blazer. From 1995 and on, only the mid-sized Blazer remained.
  
  

Engines

• The 1991 full-sized Blazer had two engine options: 5.7-liter and 6.2-liter. The 5.7-liter V8, gasoline engine produced 210 horsepower and 300 foot-pounds of torque, while the 6.2-liter--a V8 diesel engine--produced 145 horsepower and 248 foot-pounds of torque.
  
  The 1991 S-10 Blazer had a 4.3-liter V6 engine that produced 160 horsepower and 235 foot-pounds of torque.
  
  

Fuel Economy

• The full-sized Blazer got 12 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the highway, when equipped with the 5.7-liter. With the 6.2-liter diesel it got 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. The full-sized version had a 31 gallon or 32-gallon fuel tank, depending on the engine selection.
  
  The S-10 Blazer got 16 to 17 mpg in the city, 20 to 23 mpg on the highway and had a 20-gallon fuel tank.
  
  

Interior

• The S-10 Blazer could seat two to six people, depending on seating options selected. It had 39.1 inches of front headroom, 38.7 to 38.8 inches of rear headroom, 42.5 inches of front legroom, 35.5 to 36.5 inches of rear legroom, 53.9 inches of front shoulder room, 56.1 to 55.6 inches of rear shoulder room, 50.5 inches of front hip room and 37.6 to 52.6 inches of rear hip room.
  
  The 1991 full-sized Blazer had seating for two to five people, depending on the options chosen. It had 41.6 inches of front headroom, 39.9 inches of rear headroom, 40.9 inches of front legroom, 34 inches of rear legroom, 65.5 inches of front shoulder room, 64.5 inches of rear shoulder room, 60.5 inches of front hip room and 49.3 inches of rear hip room.
  
  

Exterior

• The 1991 S-10 Blazer came in either two- or four-door and two- or four-wheel drive, these options made for slight differences in the SUVs exterior dimensions. It had a 170.3 to 176.8 inch length, 65.4 inch width, 64.1 to 64.3 inch height and a 100.5 to 107 inch wheelbase. The curb weight -- weight without passengers or cargo -- ranged from 3,196 to 3,725 pounds.
