Repairing Leather Furniture Discoloration
- 1). Prep the furniture by removing dirt and debris with a leather cleaner.
- 2). Rinse the furniture with a soft cloth and warm water to remove any remaining cleaner. If cleaner is left on the leather, it could cause a chemical reaction with the dye that would result in further discoloration.
- 3). Apply leather dye to the furniture, working from top to bottom. Pay special attention to applying the dye evenly, following the grain on the leather. Wipe away excess dye.
- 4). Buff the leather with linseed oil. This will condition the leather and restore its original beauty, as well as help to prevent future damage.
