How to Remove Unwanted Virus Protection
- 1). Log in to Windows with a user account that has administrator credentials.
- 2). Click "Start" and choose the "Control Panel" listing. Click "Programs" and select "Programs And Features." A window displaying a list of the software programs installed to your computer will open.
- 3). Click the file name of an anti-virus program you want to remove and click the "Uninstall" button at the top of the list to open the Uninstaller Wizard.
- 4). Click "Next" in the Uninstaller Wizard and follow the instructions displayed by the wizard to begin removing the virus protection software.
- 5). Restart your computer after the Uninstaller is finished to complete the removal process and save the changes to the system.
