With limited artistic skills, a computer and printer, miniaturists can use Dover’s electronic art for scale collections of signs, themed china (using decals or paper templates), wallpaper, stained glass, transfers/decals, fabrics, packaging, cards, magazines, catalogues, books and more. Personal use is unrestricted.

Commercial Uses

The copyright free, permission free art may be used for commercial purposes (packaging, advertising and products) with these restrictions:

• In any publishing or craft project you may use up to ten illustrations from each Pictorial Archive book and CD without requesting permission.
• A project is a single design object (in a series, each item is a separate project).
• Dover makes no distinction between commercial or non-commercial projects as long as each project uses ten or less illustrations from any one book.
• There is no limitation on the number of copies of any project you may produce and sell. All use is non-exclusive.
• There is a $5.00 charge per illustration above the initial ten from any one book for commercial use.
• You may make stamps from the illustrations for personal use. If you intend to sell articles made from stamps you will need to pay Dover a one-time, flat fee for licensing non-exclusive use of Clip Art material for rubber stamps ($15.00 per image; $50.00 per alphabet/ set of numbers). Dover has no limitation on how many stamped copies can be made or sold. You may not sell the stamps themselves.
• Republication/ reproduction of any illustration by other graphic services, in a book or other design resource, is strictly prohibited.
• Dover material may be used to illustrate any sort of project but you may not use them to create products which are collections of illustrations for sale to others, whether these are books, software, rubber stamps, or any other medium. For this Dover require a licensing agreement via email.
