You have to understand that Google compiles a site link profile for all your sites. This profile includes things like when your site was made and where your link is kept. Google tracks other things too, like reciprocity, how many links are on every page, the last time the page was updated or edited, etc. The profile will also say where each link is located and whether or not the links are text or image based. Thanks to Penguin, Google will also know which backlinks have been bought. This is important because you should know what Google knows about you. You need to know what kind of intelligence they've gathered on you. Here is some valuable research for you that you can immediately begin using. Almost half of searches performed are long tail phrases which will be at least four words. You
need to add variety, never using less than three words with any webpage or post that you make. Over 60% of all search queries are not actually exact match which is very interesting. That is pretty surprising unless you have done PPC in the past in which case you would have seen it. It's a safe assumption that the use of exact match is not always the best choice. When it all comes down to it, long tail keywords are the best way to go in most cases.

You've probably been hearing the word "infographic" more than you've ever heard it before too. These are just images that are highly relevant and contain appropriate descriptions in their file names. If you want to get more from using infographics, then make them links that are part of your internal link structure or even going to external authority sites. Using these images with a Pinterest marketing funnel will add even more fire power to them. It's clear that you should be able to do more with images than you ever have before and not using them to the best of your ability is the same as wasting your marketing energy. Obviously high quality graphics are going to carry with them the most effectiveness.

It isn't exactly easy to get your business and marketing from where it is now to the standards now dictated by the Penguin and Panda updates. It is going to depend on whatever you've been doing in the past and up till now. You need to look carefully at your anchor text because lots of anchor text is thought of as spammy, particularly when it comes to off-page SEO and backlinks.
