- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button, enter "cmd" into the text box and press "Enter." This opens the Windows command prompt.
- 2). Type "net stop w32time" and press "Enter." This stops the time service, which has the executable file named "w32time."
- 3). Type "net start w32time" and press "Enter." This starts the time service. These commands in combination restart the NTP service on the Windows computer.
