Why Bingo is now officially cool - word!
As you walk in you look up at the nicotine yellowed ceilings that were once white. All around you green and magnolia wallpaper that is peeling off the walls in places really doesn't add to your confidence of having a fun filled night.
I imagine doddery Deirdre (78 Years Old, Single, Widower) sitting next to Eunice (65 going on 92 Years Old, Chain Smoker) amongst a sea of like minded pensioners concentrating, eyes down and silent, as Malcolm the uninterested daydreaming Bingo caller interrupts looking at his watch another winning number in the most......a...b...s...o...l...u...t...e....l...y..........b...o...r...i...n...g..........slow-motion monotone fashion humanly possible. STOPPPPPPPP!
It sounds awful doesn't it? Whoever would have played a game like that? It certainly makes me wonder how Bingo survived and grew to be so popular. I wouldn't be seen dead in a god awful place like that.
NEWSFLASH FOLKS!!!
Bingo has moved on...thank the lord. It wouldn't be here if it hadn't and now I love it! No more bum numbing seats, no shabby wallpaper and certainly not a smoky yellow ceiling in sight, in fact none of these things at all! It's all glitz and glam now baby. I'd like to welcome you all to the world wide web, Bingo's best friend and the sole reason why the game of Bingo has survived!
The internet it seems was made for Bingo and not for adult fun like my husband's friend Paul would have you believe. No longer is the focus on the Malcolm the monotone monkey calling out the numbers because now it's 'us' the Bingo players that make the fun...right there in the chat room. There is always a buzz on a Friday or Saturday night when the weekend promotions are running and the jackpots are big. You can be sure you'll find me there. My nickname is 'Suga47' on any sites I play so if you see me don't forget to say hi! Ruby Bingo is my site of choice but hey, a change is as good as a rest or so they say and you'll always find me checking out any sites that have a great registration offer.
So how much have I won? Haha...I know your all dying to know.
Well I've won a bit. I think since I rediscovered Bingo (the online version) earlier I think my total winnings are about maybe £60 and I guess I must have spent £60 to £100 on playing. I don't care about winning though it's not all about that, I just love the social aspect of the game. The atmosphere, the tension and the suspense of an intense game is enough to keep me coming back for more although without a doubt what makes a good site is the people.
My top tips if you are thinking of playing are:
- Shop around to find the best site for you, I use sites like BingoBonus365.com [http://bingobonus365.com] where you can check out Bingo website reviews and find out who has the best registration offers.
- When you have found a site you like always keep your eyes open for other deals by talking to other Bingo players in the chat rooms. Sometimes special promotions are just too good to miss.
- Use the free Bingo bonuses that websites offer to try the sites out only. The fun really begins when you play for real money. It just ads that extra element of fun to the game and often you can't always access all areas of a Bingo site until you deposit some money. Plus then you are in for a chance of winning and that makes it all the more fun!
- Only ever deposit what you can afford, this is very important. Online Bingo is a great game and it's very cheap to play (from 1p per ticket) however I would only advise you deposit what you can afford.
- HAVE FUN! I love online Bingo now despite my stereotypical views of what it used to be. I hope you will too...
