    • 1). Create a new folder anywhere on your computer and give it a name, such as "Outlook Express Archive." You will place your archived Outlook Express files here in a later step.

    • 2). Open Outlook Express.

    • 3). Click "Tools" in the top menu bar, and then select "Options."

    • 4). Click the tab labeled "Maintenance" on the following screen, and then click the "Store Folder" button. The pop-up window that follows will show you the location of your Outlook data files. Highlight the entire file path, and then press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy the path.

    • 5). Click "Cancel" twice to close the dialog boxes opened in the previous steps.

    • 6). Click the Windows Start button and select "Run." Paste the path you copied in Step 4 by right-clicking within the Run field and selecting "Paste." Click "OK." The folder containing your Outlook Express data opens on-screen.

    • 7). Highlight all of the files contained in the Outlook Express data folder. Press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy these items.

    • 8). Open the archive folder you created in Step 1. Right-click anywhere in the folder and select "Paste." All of your Outlook Express data has been archived.
