Define Box and Whisker Plot

If the number count is odd, then the middle number is the median. When calculating sub-medians, this number need not be included. If the number count is even, the median is the average of the two middle numbers. 3.The next step is to find the sub-medians the lower median and the upper median. It means the next step is to divide the data into quarters. Take the two halves of the numbers separated by median. These two medians are called the lower median and higher median respectively. The three middle points one median and the two sub-medians has now divided the whole set of data into quarters or quartiles. The quartiles are indicated by Q subscripted by the number.
