Definition: Bipedal, probably omnivorous dinosaurs that bore a marked resemblance to ostriches and emus. Some genuses of ornithomimids ("bird mimics") were probably capable of sprinting at speeds of over 50 miles per hour. Notable ornithomimids include Ornithomimus and Gallimimus.
