Deleting Files and Folders

• First step in removing the System Security spyware from your computer is to delete the files created by the Web parasite. Go to the "Start" menu, click on "Search" and then check the box next to "All Files and Folders" so that you are able to find all the traces of the software. Then type in "0308937.exe" in the search window and hit "Enter." The search will come back with a few files. The trick is that these files might be scattered all over your hard drive, which is why you need to delete all of the found entries. Deleting Registry Values

• Now that you have deleted the files and folders associated with System Security, you will need to delete all of the registry entries created by the spyware. Go to the "Start" menu again and click on "Run." Then type "regedit" in the search line of the "Run" window and click on "OK" to launch the Windows Registry Editor.
