The Law of Vibration and Vibrating in Harmony With It
I lived the first part of my life in total ignorance of the law of vibration and, to be quite honest, I was shocked when the impact of the fact first dawned on me that everything was vibration.
I was a young adult when I read a book which stated that everything was energy and that everything in the universe was vibrating.
Oxygen, yes, I could understand that maybe, but what about my hand, my body and a Chrysler car or the Empire State building? You've got to be kidding, I thought.
Once I finally realized that it was true that the whole universe is a mass of moving atoms, I felt staggered by the implications.
This meant that things can be changed, yes, if we go to a logical conclusion, diseases also, were just frequencies, vibrating within the Law of Vibration.
If this were so, also, wouldn't that show that we were creating our own life conditions and circumstances and if that is accepted, then we could try to steer our destiny? This was literally mind-boggling and a wonderfully empowering thought, but also a little sobering.
If this is so, I am at the point of power? This was the query that flooded my mind.
Then, I realized that this could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what I did.
It was about that time, that I made a journey to India and one day, in a hot steaming village in Southern India, I listened to a Master explaining this a little more.
His eyes, that were deep pools of fathomless wisdom, said something that has remained with me ever since.
Everything is vibration and, more importantly, there is a Source of this Universal vibration, he explained, his bony fingers stroking his long white straggly beard and that it was our job to get into harmony with it, if we were to become the person that we were intended to be.
Some people, I later learned, call the Source of the Law of Vibration, The Subconscious Mind or the Universal Mind or the Super Mind or The Universal Mother.
In truth, the name isn't important, but what is important, is getting into harmony with this Universal Law of Harmony or the Law of Vibration you might say.
The next big awakening came when I realized that thoughts, were also vibrations and words too.
I realized that if I was going to change anything for the good, I would have to emanate the right thoughts (which were just vibrations,) and try to begin vibrating with the Law of Vibration.
I began, bit by bit, to watch my thoughts and change small things.
Yes, small things said a hundred times add up! How many times had I said "I could have killed her," jokingly, referring to a clash with a friend, or saying "I nearly died with fright" and many other mundane expressions that we say thoughtlessly every day.
It is not until we start to "observe" our speech that we notice.
Things began to change with this discipline.
Not instantly, but gradually and with consistent effort, things began to steer in a better direction, and I felt myself helping to "steer," but always in alignment with the Universal law of Vibration.
That distant day in an ancient country, the slight Indian figure with his bony fingers and ochre coloured beard, had confirmed my knowledge of the fact that everything was vibration and had pointed me in the direction of the Universal Source.
