If you happen to see a cockroach running across your kitchen one day, you may want to start taking action instead of waiting for the pest to continue multiplying.
You have the option to use roach traps or cockroach bait to get rid of them.
Convenient To Place The thing about using roach traps or bait is that they are very convenient to place all over the area where you have spotted any cockroach.
You don't have to mix any chemical or solution as the roach traps and bait normally come in packed ready with the necessary ingredients.
Neither do you have to worry that the insecticide is harmful to pets or humans.
They usually come packed in child-resistant plastic containers.
But this does not mean that you can leave them all over the place in plain view of young children or toddlers running around.
The best time to place these out would be in the evenings as cockroaches usually come out at night to look for food.
Difference Between Roach Traps And Bait There is a difference between cockroach bait and roach traps.
People use cockroach bait so that the roaches will eat and bring the food that is laced with insecticide back to their nest.
They eventually die some time after consuming the bait.
With roach traps, the aim is to lure the roaches out to eat the food and to also trap them so that you can have them disposed off properly.
These traps come with a combination of food which is also laced with insecticide and would normally have a strip of adhesive tape or glue on them.
The food lures the roaches to come and eat while the glue or tape gets them stuck there.
Don't be surprised that a roach trap could end up catching quite a number of cockroaches instead of only one.
Trap And Dispose Of Them It depends on how you would like to tackle the cockroach problem in your home or work place.
Some people may choose a combination of both traps and bait.
The idea is not only to kill them but to also capture and dispose of them as you would not want dead roaches piling up somewhere in your house.
Plus this will also give you an idea on how many roaches are running around loose in your house.
All you need to do is to put out these traps along the corners of your kitchen, near your stove, under your fridge and around the places where you normally dispose of food.
You could also place some in the bathroom or where you spotted a roach.
Always remember to check the traps in the morning and dispose of them accordingly.
Summary Consistent use of these roach traps and bait will pay off as you will notice a drop in the numbers of roaches running around your place.
Also remember to keep your premise clean and dispose of leftover food so that they will not have a reason to hang around your area.
