Read, read, and read till you drop dead We all had those gruelling years in school, memorizing every bit of our textbooks in an attempt to meet the grades.
But that's over.
So start reading REAL stuff.
Pick up nonfiction books, especially those related to your career.
It could be economics to literature, science to religion.
Make it worth the read, coz you probably wouldn't have the time to do so once the hectic years in university kicks in.
Some recommended reads: a)Hot, Flat and Crowded by Thomas Friedman b)Super Freakonomics, Steven D.
Levitt (try the first book too) c)Malcolm Gladwells' collection - What the Dog Saw, Blink, Outliers, The Tipping Point d)A History of God, Karen Armstrong 2.
Pick up a new language, or two! Well that will come in real handy in the future.
We all think it's difficult to pick up a language.
We tend to believe it takes a lot of time.
No.
It takes consistency.
30 minutes to 1 hour a day for the couple of months is all it takes.
You could even do it before sleeping, just to keep it consistent.
And before you know it, you'd be speaking a new tongue! How? a)Get audio help, it's all free online! b)Get talking! Find people to converse in that language 3.
Get in shape! Work out.
Period.
These months are arguably the only ones you have to really focus on getting toned up before university.
Getting a kick start is important.
Suggestions? a)Be a regular gym junkie, effective but slightly expensive b)Swim.
And swim a lot.
Research shows it is one of the most effective ways to get in shape and stay fit.
Plus its cheap too c)Jog in the morning.
20 minutes a day and the results will be astonishing.
Set daily goals.
Increase distance and time yourself.
Or at the very least, get up and take a brisk walk.
d)Too busy with other things? Perhaps you should stick to push ups and sit ups at home.
4.
Do some charity We're young.
Energetic.
So start contributing to a greater cause.
It need not be monetary.
Just get out there and do something Like what? a)Tzu Chi Foundation could use tons of volunteers.

c)Check out local councils and see if you could participate in any youth projects.
Simply keep active, no matter what you're up to 5.
Learn to cook.
Yea, seriously.
You probably wouldn't expect this coming.
But yes.
It is really, really really important.
Because eventually, we're gonna move out and live on our own.
And that means cooking could very well come in handy.
So to avoid constantly depending on instant noodles and fried eggs, lets hit the kitchen and get messy! Huh?! a)So scrub in with mum or dad the next them they are preparing dinner or lunch.
You'd be amazed how much you'll learn.
b)Try cooking dinner once in a while, arrange a date.
It's super fun.
c)Learn up recipes and traditional stuff, its precious, invaluable knowledge So those are the top 5 things to do during exam breaks.
Or plainly, the top 5 things to do during holidays.
Just don't waste time people, instead plan a self improvement regime.
Face it, we all could need one.
