How to Activate SBI Internet Banking
- 1). Go to the OnlineSBI website (see "Resources") and download the Internet Banking Registration Form. Visit the branch where you opened your account and apply for net banking by submitting the application. If you are interested in banking online with SBI, you must visit the branch in person. You may also fill out the form when visiting the branch.
- 2). Wait for your user ID and password to arrive in the mail. The branch officer will issue an Internet banking kit specifically for you. You will receive your secured user ID and password by courier via two separate mailings.
- 3). Visit the OnlineSBI website (see "Resources") once you receive your user ID and password. Click on the "Personal Banking" or "Corporate Banking" tab, depending on your account type. These tabs are located on the right side of your screen under "Login." Read the initial web page as prompted, then click on the tab that says "Continue to Login" on the bottom of your screen.
- 4). Input your user ID and password in the corresponding boxes, then click on the "Login" tab to begin banking online.
- 5). Choose a personal user ID and password upon your first login. According to the Internet Banking Registration Form, it is mandatory for users to change their user ID and password when they log in to their account for the first time.
