IP Routing Is Disabled on a Laptop

    • 1). Clic "Start" and select "Control Panel." Click the "Network and Internet" link, then click "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Change Adapter Settings" in the left panel to open a list of network cards installed on the laptop.

    • 2). Right-click the network adapter you want to use for IP forwarding. Click "Properties" to open a configuration window.

    • 3). Click the "TCP/IP" protocol in the list of options. Click the "Properties" button at the bottom of the window to open a new configuration window.

    • 4). Click the "Routing" tab. Check the box labeled "Enable IP Forwarding," then click "OK" to save the settings. Click "OK" again in the main configuration window to close the network properties window.
