- 1). Navigate to the download Web page of a video converter program (see Resources). Follow the site's directions to download and install the program on your computer. Some converters are free, while others offer a free demo version.
- 2). Double-click the application's icon on your desktop to open the program.
- 3). Go to YouTube.com and select a video that you want to download. After the video loads in your Web browser, move your mouse cursor over the URL address and click on it to select it. Right-click and select "Copy" from the context menu to copy the URL.
- 4). Open another Window or tab on your Web browser and navigate to savevideodownload.com/download.php. Paste the YouTube video's URL address in the site's URL text field and click the "Get Link" button.
- 5). Click on the "Download" hyperlink. You may also have to click the "Free Java Download" hyperlink if you receive a message that says, "Install Java2 JRE."
- 6). Return to the AVS video converter, click the "Browse" button and load the YouTube video that you saved on your computer into the converter.
- 7). Select "AVS file format" as the output format and click the "Convert Now" button to start the conversion process. It may take the application several seconds to complete the conversion process.
