After weeks of applying for endless number of jobs, it seems that you can finally give up for such a task when you get some calls informing you to attend some interviews.
I bet you must be overjoyed of being able to secure some places for interviews.
You start to think that your search for a job is over and surely you would be able to get at least a job from the various job interviews that await your attendances.
If you do not want your euphoria to be short lived, you got to know how to play the game.
Yes, interview is a game and to be ahead of others, you must know the rules of the game to win it.
Remember that you are not the only one who is vying for the vacant post.
There are maybe tens or hundred of other candidates going for the interview and to be able to stand out from the rest of all the other potential candidates, you must know what kind of preparation to be made.
Getting a place for an interview is just a ticket that gives you a chance to entice and convince the interviewers that you are the suitable person for the job.
There is no guarantee that they are going to select you as the right candidate for the post.
To up your chance of getting through the tough interview and finally landing on the desired job, you first need to know the thing that the interviewers are looking in a candidate.
No matter what type of job you are applying, the interviewers are always looking for a core set of skills and characteristics.
Therefore, you need to show to them that you possess the required competence factors by providing good answers to those questions that are thrown at you.
You need to demonstrate that you can exhibit this competence with minimum supervision from the top.
Next, there is work to be done to give you an unfair advantage over other interviewees.
Do not act as almost of the other candidates by going to an interview without doing any research on the company that is going to employ you.
Researching a company that you are going to work demonstrates that you are keen to join the organization.
This creates a very good impression of you on the people that are going to hire you.
Finally, the way you present your answers is also paramount in getting yourself into an organization.
They are not only judging you on the words that come out from your mouth but also on how you articulate those words.
Not only do they want to employ someone who is committed and smart, but also they are looking for people who is full of motivation, passion and animation.
