How to Decorate an Inset Front Porch

• 1). Purchase the items from the materials list - the main ones being the corner plant stand and the hanging decoration or wreath.
  
  
• 2). Put a plant stand in the opposite corner of the front door.
  
  
• 3). Arrange potted plants on the tiers of the stand. For example, in the fall use mums. Put one color on top and another color on the bottom. Then, put a decorative ceramic item in the middle to add variation.
  
  
• 4). Lay the welcome mat in front of the door.
  
  
• 5). Position the other two potted plants on the front step. Use two different colored plants. You may want to use two different sized pots to add height as well.
  
  
• 6). Hammer one single broad nail into the wall facing the street. Make sure you can patch it if necessary.
  
  
• 7). Hang up the decoration or wreath to complete your look. Change the item and flowers by season & the look will always be fresh.
