Your self-esteem will grow as you achieve the things that you want to experience, or the things that you like or desire to have.
Today I offer three disciplines which are essential to helping you achieve your own success.
I like this one too from Jim Rohn, "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.
It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure.
" The main reason I like this statement is it gives those who read it, hope.
We all need some belief that all will be well in the end, especially when we want to really achieve something we desire.
The statement tells us that we are not too far from our prize.
It speaks of a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.
It gives us renewed energy to move on and keep up what we are doing and look to make those small changes to give us more opportunity to enhance our success.
Let's have a look at three simple disciplines that you can adopt every day to move you towards your own success.
1.
Gratitude.
Having a grateful outlook towards everything in your life allows for a more positive attitude to be accommodated.
A positive attitude is simply a name for the way you choose to respond to any event or happening that occurs to you.
Being grateful for your physical body and your ability to do the things that you choose to do are ways to carry your gratitude.
Not complaining or whingeing about things that happen to you is a way to enhance having more gratitude.
Being grateful also helps attract positive energy as this is what you need to achieve what you want...
more positive energy.
2.
Vision.
It is pretty much an essential discipline.
Having a vision of what you want is essential because it simply paints a picture of where you are going to be.
What are you aiming for? What does your goal look like? The clearer you see your vision, the easier it is to see for you and others who support you.
Simply, if your vision is clear, it is an easier target to hit.
3.
Mentor or coach.
It is always helpful to have someone to hold our hand and guide us, keeping us on the correct path.
It is more pertinent when we begin to make poor decisions that affect our performance.
Even the number one golfer in the world, the number one basket baller in the world, both have coaches or mentors.
These coaches are not usually better players than their number one protege, but are better advisors to help their students in many facets of their life.
These coaches have the ability to look at the big picture and keep their student players on track towards their goals.
This is where there value lies and it is a discipline that can help you achieve your goals more quickly.
