24 Hour Urine Analysis
- For your 24-hour urine test, you will be given one or more urine collection containers. Your physician will also give you a container to urinate into because you will not be able to void directly into the 24-hour urine container. The test should begin in the morning. You will empty your bladder of the first morning's urine and this urine will be discarded. The rest of the day and that night you will collect your urine and pour it into the 24-hour collection container. Your urine the following morning will also be collected. You will need to keep the 24-hour urine collection container in the refrigerator or a cooler. Do not let it freeze as freezing will affect the test results.
