You have heard about Uganda but have not heard about Uganda! If you have  you would be knowing  about  one of the Africa's last great wilderness areas.  Being located on the Sudanese border in the North East ,what  the Kidepo Valley National park is holding for you is just fantastic .It is a park isolated from the Ugandan main stream  by the harsh plains north of Mountain Elgon.It is a place for the nature lovers  with  its  rugged savannah dominated by the 2750m Mountain Morungole and transected by the kidepo andNarus rivers.You cannot miss out on the Perennial water  which makes  an oasis in the semi desert .

The Park also reflects an eighty six mammal species of which the twenty eight  species do not occur else where in uganda.with its about 500 bird species one can enjoy bird watching as much as he needs.The predators are also well presented in this Park with the delightful bat eared fox being inclusive of the lions ,antelopes,cheetars and leopards which make one's game viewing worth his pay of the ugandan safari.Yes,the  game viewing in this park can be exciting and at the same time thrilling that distinguishes  the rare slice of wild Africa as yet un discovered by the mass safari market.No one can even have a say on the great activities you can engage in while in this National Park .Having mentioned the game viewing  and bird watching earlier,  you can  also participate in the foot safaris across the Nurus valley and enjoying the isolated wilderness, also look out to the karamajong people and the traditional pastralists with some affiliations to the EastAfrican groups.

If at all you have never had a chance to experience a very dry area with little rains and scarce vegetation then this is the chance for you to utilize.For the accommodation facilities you have no reason to fear,all is catered for!There is a camping site,UWA rest camp and a new up market lodge ready to house all the visitors on their arrival to start off their  wild safari but of course on a fair fee.
