- 1). Remove the cover from the back of the device.
- 2). Use one end of the paper clip to push and hold in the small "Reset" button.
- 3). Press "Up" on the directional pad while holding in the "Reset" button.
- 4). Hold both buttons until the Palm logo appears on screen. The device will continue to boot into the "safe" mode.
