Easy Easter Decorating for Kids
Candy Centerpiece
This idea can be used to make Easter centerpieces and tabletop decorations in minutes. It's sure to be a hit with the kids as it's made from candy and they'll love to help you with the Easter decorating. You will need a clear glass vase and a glass tumbler along with Easter candy for this project. Jellybeans and marshmallow bunnies or chicks make adorable Easter-inspired vase fillers.
Insert the glass tumbler inside the vase and place it in the center. Fill the space between the tumbler and the vase with jellybeans. Add jellybeans till they reach about halfway the height of the vase and then add a line of marshmallow bunnies or chicks. Fill the inner glass tumbler with water and arrange fresh flowers in it. Choose flowers and candy in spring hues to create bright and cheerful Easter centerpieces. Let the kids choose the color of jellybeans, marshmallows and flowers they want to use.
Spring Easter Decorating Accessories
Transform the Easter table into a delightful spring landscape with DIY placemats. You'll need to visit your local home improvement store for this Easter decorating project. Choose about four to six green carpet tiles based on the number of diners at the Easter table. Opt for faux grass carpet tiles to recreate a spring landscape on your table. Each carpet tile functions as a placemat at your festive Easter table.
Decorate the faux grass placemats with plastic or silk flowers. Other spring embellishments for the placemats like paper toadstools and paper butterflies are easily available at craft stores. Dab some clear glue and stick these embellishments onto the carpet placemats. The kids can help you decorate the placemats. Make sure they leave some space on the carpet tiles for placing plates. Pair these grassy placemats with a floral centerpiece to create a spring landscape on your Easter table. Opt for carpet tiles that snap together so after the Easter celebration the placemats can be fused together to make a fun outdoor carpet for the porch or patio.
